We engaged Tanya from DASH to prepare plans for a renovation and extension to our existing home.
We were very keen to implement as many sustainable and environmentally friendly features as possible but also had to work within the restrictions of a 100 yr old house with a heritage listing.
Tanya was strongly committed to finding us sustainable architectural solutions and the plans she provided were not only aesthetically inspiring, practical and innovative, they provided us with a solid basis for sustainability and were sympathetic enough to the heritage issue to quickly and easily gain us the planning permit we required.
Thanks Tanya.

I engaged the services of Architect Tanya Grabnar of DASH to develop concept drawings and achieve planning permit for a rural property just outside of Castlemaine. The property has a great deal of natural beauty and a wonderful view.
Aspects of the brief set for Tanya were extensive and included: - A home which had self-sustainable water, power and waste systems - A home which blended discretely into the environment, had low impact on construction and had net environmental benefit; and - A home with interesting design features, use of natural light and fluid movement within its internal construction to best advantage the natural beauty of the property.
Tanya has been mindful of energy ratings, Council and Building Regulations and self-sustainable housing strategies. The planned home has beautiful design features, use of natural light and integration of the natural beauty of the property. At all times I have found Tanya to uphold professional standards. Tanya took the brief responsibly, incorporated desired design features, reported meetings accurately and was timely. Tanya visited the property and was thorough in her research of the site. Tanya arranged a successful meeting with Council and to survey the property with a local company.
Tanya has provided strong guidance through these stages to date.
