 House Design R1 is a country style home. It is a cosy and charming house design, suitable to all construction materials, but ideal for straw bale and owner builder construction techniques because of its simple and straight forward design and plan. The roof is extended in a lower pitch past the outside wall to form a continuous verandah around the house. As with other DASH designs, this offers summer shade and winter sun penetration to the house.Other DASH plans can be used with this external design. Plan shown here is 20 squares.
