 House Design M4 is a simple contemporary straw bale house design with an encompassing verandah and central raised roof section.Expressed timber framing to the verandah is there for removeable shading devices or for growing deciduous vines for additional summer shading. The raised roof allows natural daylight to enter the central living spaces and with openable windows allows hot summer air to escape during cooler nights without compromising on security. The plan is versatile and is suitable for land that has many views or a particular view in any direction. This plan can be altered or have bedrooms added without compromising the overall design and character. Plan shown here is 16 squares.
